Short Introduction

Bring more visibility and organization to container gardening with the Sproutivae™ Rootscope Harvest Planter. Designed with a covered front window, this soft-sided grow bag lets gardeners occasionally inspect the soil zone without removing the plant from its container.

The tall cylindrical shape provides generous room for potting mix, while the reinforced handles make seasonal repositioning more manageable. When the viewing feature is not being used, the roll-down flap keeps the planter looking neat and helps shield the soil area from unnecessary light.

Rootscope is a practical choice for potatoes, compact vegetables, culinary herbs, ornamental foliage, and other container-friendly plants grown in greenhouses, patios, balconies, or backyard garden stations. 🥔

Key Features

🪟 Covered Soil-Viewing Window

The front observation panel provides a convenient look into part of the planter’s soil area. Open the fabric flap for occasional checks, then close it again during normal growing.

This feature is especially useful for educational gardening, observing visible roots near the planter wall, or checking underground crops positioned close to the window.

🌱 Deep Container-Growing Format

The tall body provides space for layered potting mix and developing roots. It can be used for vegetables, herbs, flowers, and seasonal plants selected for container cultivation.

⬇️ Roll-Down Protective Flap

A soft exterior cover rests over the transparent panel when viewing is not needed. The flap creates a cleaner appearance and helps limit direct light around the exposed soil section.

👐 Reinforced Side Grips

Two stitched handles offer convenient handholds when rotating or repositioning an empty or lightly filled planter. The base should always be supported when moving a mature plant or wet growing medium.

🌬️ Flexible Fabric Construction

The textile-style body gives the planter a softer, more adaptable structure than a traditional rigid pot. When the season ends, it can be emptied, cleaned, folded, and stored compactly.

🪴 Wide Open Top

The broad upper opening makes filling, planting, mulching, and seasonal soil refreshing easier. It also provides comfortable access when adding compost or checking surface moisture.

🔄 Reusable Planting Solution

Rootscope can be prepared for another growing cycle after the previous crop is removed. Its foldable format suits gardeners who rotate plants through different seasons.

🎋 Natural Garden Appearance

The tonal green body, dark window trim, and subtle branded detail coordinate with wooden benches, nursery trays, terracotta pots, and greenhouse accessories.

Material & Finish

The planter is made with a durable fabric-style gardening textile selected for flexible container use. Its softly textured surface gives the bag a substantial appearance while allowing it to collapse when empty.

The front panel is framed with contrasting dark trim, creating a clear border around the observation area. Matching stitching and reinforced handle attachments add definition to the otherwise minimal cylindrical shape.

Design details

  • Flexible non-rigid planter body
  • Textured botanical-green exterior
  • Transparent front inspection panel
  • Attached roll-down fabric cover
  • Reinforced upper rim
  • Two stitched side handles
  • Dark contrast framing
  • Flat circular base
  • Foldable off-season construction

The grow bag is not a sealed water container. Natural surface creasing may appear after folding, filling, or repeated seasonal use.

Size & Placement

Suggested Listing Configuration

  • Approximate capacity: 12–15 gallons
  • Approximate diameter: 16–18 in / 41–46 cm
  • Approximate height: 17–19 in / 43–48 cm

Production measurements should be confirmed before the final listing is published.

Suitable placement areas

  • Greenhouse growing benches
  • Patio vegetable corners
  • Covered decks
  • Apartment balconies
  • Backyard container gardens
  • Sunrooms with protected flooring
  • Utility-room planting stations
  • Seasonal herb and harvest areas

Set the planter on a level surface that can tolerate drainage and ordinary watering. For indoor use or delicate flooring, place a suitable saucer or moisture-resistant mat underneath.

Leave enough clearance in front of the bag to open the viewing flap comfortably.

Room Styling

🌾 Greenhouse Harvest Station

Arrange Rootscope beside black seedling trays, bamboo labels, and wooden shelving for a coordinated edible-garden setup.

🏡 Patio Vegetable Display

Pair several green grow bags with terracotta planters and warm wood furniture to create a relaxed, productive patio garden.

☀️ Balcony Growing Corner

Use one planter as a focused growing feature for potatoes, peppers, compact tomatoes, or leafy plants. Its upright format makes good use of smaller spaces.

🧺 Utility-Room Garden Area

Combine it with soil storage bins, gardening gloves, hand tools, and a watering can for a practical indoor planting station.

🌿 Botanical Sunroom

Use the fabric planter for decorative foliage and coordinate it with sage ceramics, cream accessories, woven baskets, and natural-fiber rugs.

The green finish pairs especially well with:

  • Terracotta orange
  • Matte charcoal
  • Light oak
  • Bamboo
  • Cream ceramic
  • Galvanized metal
  • Moss and sage accents

Assembly / Use Notes

No permanent assembly is required.

Preparing the planter

  1. Unfold the bag and place it in the intended growing location.
  2. Shape the circular base and upper rim by hand.
  3. Add suitable container-growing mix in small layers.
  4. Position the plant, seed potato, seedling, or seed according to its planting requirements.
  5. Continue adding soil while keeping the plant centered.
  6. Water gradually and allow the growing medium to settle.
  7. Add additional mix if the soil level drops after initial watering.

Using the front window

  1. Keep the flap closed during ordinary growth.
  2. Roll or lift the cover when a brief inspection is needed.
  3. Look through the panel without pushing heavily against it.
  4. Remove loose soil from the surface using a soft cloth.
  5. Return the cover to its closed position after viewing.

Growing notes

  • Choose plants appropriate for the confirmed bag capacity.
  • Use loose, container-friendly growing medium rather than dense compacted soil.
  • Check moisture from the top and at more than one location.
  • Do not leave the transparent section uncovered for long periods.
  • Avoid filling soil above the reinforced rim.
  • Support the bottom when repositioning a filled bag.
  • Do not lift a saturated planter using only one handle.
  • Place taller plants where they can receive suitable support if needed.

Care Instructions

🧽 During the growing season

Brush away dried soil from the outer fabric and wipe the viewing panel with a soft damp cloth. Check the handles, seams, window frame, and lower edge before moving the planter.

Avoid allowing wet soil residue to remain packed around the flap closure.

After harvesting or repotting

  1. Remove the plant and empty the remaining growing medium.
  2. Shake loose soil from the fabric outdoors.
  3. Rinse lightly or hand-clean using mild soap.
  4. Wipe the transparent panel without abrasive tools.
  5. Allow the planter to air-dry completely.
  6. Fold loosely and store in a dry location.

Care reminders

  • Do not use bleach or aggressive solvents
  • Keep away from sharp blades and pointed tools
  • Do not machine dry unless approved by the final manufacturer
  • Avoid storing while damp
  • Keep away from open flames and high heat
  • Do not place heavy objects directly over the window
  • Replace the planter if structural seams or handles become significantly damaged
